By Robert Munsch, Illustrated by Michael Martchenko
''Kristen,'' said her mother, 'would you like to see your new baby brother?'' When Kristen lifts up the blanket she gets a big surprised. ''That,'' says Kristen, ''is not my baby brother. Its a baby alligator!'' Where is Kristen's real baby brother and how will she get him back?
Robert Munsch is a storyteller who has written over forty books, including 'The Paper Bag Princess' and 'Love You Forever'. He made up this story for a girl named Kristen on her sixth birthday. Later, Kristen drew pictures for the story and made it into a book of her own. So there are two versions of 'Alligator Baby': this one, for everybody, and one for Kristen that is just for her.
